Ashley and I live in River Green, so this one’s personal. Here’s what’s here, what it costs, and what we’d check before buying.

Where is River Green?

River Green sits off Knox Bridge Highway (GA-20) and Butterworth Road in Canton (ZIP 30114), about 5 miles west of downtown Canton along the Etowah River. All of River Green is inside Canton city limits, so homes here pay the City of Canton tax rate. Highway 20 gets you in and out, and I-575 is at exit 14 or 16. Walking trails along the river are part of the community.

What homes are in River Green, and what do they cost?

The sections inside the community price very differently:

  • Townhomes: there are three townhome sections, from older homes that have sold around $295,000 to newer JW Collection townhomes starting around $400,000.
  • Lakeside at River Green: a gated section by JW Collection with main level owner’s suites, two story plans, elevator capable homes, its own clubhouse and a community garden. It’s marketed as 55+, and that rule applies to Lakeside only, not River Green as a whole. JW Collection is still building here, and new Lakeside homes are listing from about $800,000 to $895,000.

Single family homes sold from about $470,000 to $700,000 in 2026.
